Since there are not any “ready to use” engine run stands for the Modal A 4-banger, we are making our own. Quality and safety are paramount for us. We started with a Speedway basic run stand. We have cut the back mount down and bolted a 4-banger bell housing to it. Upfront we mounted a rebuilt Model A radiator to keep up with the new engine.
We have an aluminum 1.5 gal gas tank to mount above the bell housing. The 12 volt battery will have a new mount frame made to safely place it at the bottom back area of the stand.
The next step is to order in gauges, a start switch, and battery cables. Plus figure on the water pump as there are so many options.
